Dr. Suess

Dr. Seuss was a famous book writer. He had many different names. His real  name was Theodor Seuss Geisel.

Dr. Seuss was born on March 2, 1904. His famous book Cat in the Hat all started out with a list of 250 words. His friend wanted him to make a book out of those words. Dr. Seuss read the list 40 times. He could not make a book out of those words. But he knew that he could not let his friend down. So he tried even harder to find some words to make a book. Two of the words were cat and hat, he knew those two words could go together for a title. Now he had his title, The Cat in the Hat. He also rote 60 other books  All of his books where rhyming.  On September 24, 1991 Dr. Seuss died of cancer. He was 87 when he died.
