Dinosaurs

Dinosaurs lived 65 million years ago in three periods, the Triassic,  Jurassic, and the Cretaceous time period.

Dinosaur Facts
For many decades, people have thought dinosaur skeletons were dragons, giants, and other creatures.
Dinosaurs were not dragons, but they were the largest creatures to walk the earth.

The dinosaurs lived between 245 million years ago and 65 million years ago.
The time periods were called the Triassic, Jurassic, and the Cretaceous periods.
The creatures of the Triassic period were small and feisty. They were fast moving dinosaurs so they could catch and eat lizards. Their habitat was very dry and it was very hard to find water. Some examples of dinosaurs in the Triassic period are Postosuchus and Hadrosaur.

Creatures of the Jurassic period were a little bit bigger. They were between five to fifty feet tall. Some were and  slow some were fast. The carnivores ate other dinosaurs. Packs of Allosauruses  ate stegosauruses and Diploticuses.
The herbivores ate bushes and trees. The habitat's were forests and plains and mountains. Some examples of dinosaurs from the Jurassic period are like Troodon, Stegastaurus, and Bracksaurs.

Creatures of the Cretaceous were gigantic like T-rex and Tricaritops.
